Summer 2023 sees the return of Love Island as it embarks on its 10th summer of love. Whether you love or hate this reality show, it’s hard not to agree that the islanders create some of the top TV moments of the year. The Only Way Is Essex
From one reality TV show to another, The Only Way Is Essex has seen several past contestants join over the years, including Nathan Massey, Cara de la Hoyde and Georgia Steele. Airing on ITV, you can catch up with all the action since they left the island and headed to Essex.
Made In Chelsea
On the other side of London, Zara McDermott was another Love Island star to leave the villa and head to another reality TV show, this time over on Channel 4. While she’s no longer part of the cast, Zara showed up in Chelsea in 2019 when she got together with co-star Sam Thompson.
Celebs Go Dating
For some of the islanders who weren’t successful in finding love in the villa, they weren’t put off from trying and several have appeared on hit Channel 4 show Celebs Go Dating over the years. Famous Love Island faces have included Liam Reardon, Laura Anderson, Megan Barton-Hanson, Olivia Atwood, Eyal Booker, Jack Fowler and Amy Hart, to name just a few.
Dancing On Ice
Some ex-Love Islanders decided to try out something new, and tested out their ice-skating skills on ITV’s Dancing On Ice. Ekin-Su came 9th, Kem Cetinay ended up in 4th while Wes Nelson impressed by finishing in 2nd 2019 thanks to his graceful moves.
Life After Love Island: Untold
Not everyone has flourished into TV stars after appearing on Love Island, and what better way to get the inside track than from the Love Islanders themselves. Part of Channel 4’s Untold documentary series, Life After Love Island shows what it’s really like returning to the real world after a summer of love.
Love In The Flesh
As well as making a name for herself on Made in Chelsea, Zara McDermott has also given presenting a go, heading up BBC Three show Love in the Flesh, a dating show where couples who have only ever connected online meet in real life for the first time.
Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich

Upon leaving the villa, some Love Islanders were lucky enough to land themselves their own shows, and Olivia Attwood was one of those. Head over to ITVX and you’ll catch her on Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich where she explores the unchartered world of selling sex online, including OnlyFans and Cam Girls.
Dani Dyer: Is This Anxiety?
Another ex-islander heading up her own show is Dani Dyer. Head over to Channel 4 and embark n an emotionally raw journey as Dani and other young mums explore why new mothers struggle with anxiety, the pressure of being a 'good mum', and why it’s not spoken about more.
Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy
But that’s not all Dani Dyer has been update since leaving the villa! This time she’s branched out into a travel show, alongside her dad and ex-Eastenders star Danny Dyer. The father-daughter pair headed out on a tour of Italy, from Palermo and Florence to Rome and Milan on the ultimate road trip.
Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings
However, Dani Dyer isn’t the only Love Island star to have headed abroad, as 2022 winners Ekin-Su and Davide. Visiting Turkey and Italy, this two part series follow the popular pair showing each other the places they came from.
Naked Education

Since leaving the villa, Alex George returned to his work as a doctor, as well as using his large social following to promote Mental Health Awareness, as well as writing his own book. If that wasn’t enough, earlier this year Channel 4 released brand-new series Naked Education with Dr Alex at the helm which focusses on body positivity and diversity.
The Challenge UK
While Love Island was all about putting their dating skills to the test, some islanders decided to do something altogether different and show off their athletic prowess on The Challenge UK. For their chance to win their part of a £100,000 prize fund, celebrities including Kaz Kwami, Arabella Chi, Curtis Pritchard, Marcel Somerville and Kaz Cookley must take part in physical challenges.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer

Finally, and in one of the most wholesome TV appearances post-Love Island, Ovie Soko made his way into the tent in 2020’s series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. While he wasn’t crowned Star Baker, he still showed off some impressive cooking skills.
