Next week the BBC is hosting its first ever virtual Creative Diversity Xperience and you are invited.
Taking place on the 28th - 29th July, and free to attend, each day will see 6 hours of live streamed events and masterclasses showcasing the vibrancy, innovation and leadership of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic talent within the creative industry.
Headlined by Michaela Coel and Cynthia Erivo, you’ll get to hear and attend masterclasses from diverse leaders across the creative world.
Other guests include 1Xtra’s DJ Target, Noughts and Crosses star Masali Baduza, Actor Aiofa Hinds (Normal People & Derry Girls); Grace Ladoja (Creative Director and Manager) and Writer and Filmmaker Lucy Sheen discussing the current issues that speak directly to the minds of audiences.
Other key sessions expected include; a music masterclass with a special line up of UK artists, ‘Diversity for Every ‘body’, ‘Cancel Culture’ hosted by Linkup TV and “Beyond Yellow Face Casting”, covering topics including cultural appropriation, the power of social media and why Asian creatives are forgotten in the film industry.
