Noni and George found that their one-bedroom flat in Crystal Palace was no longer big enough after the arrival of their first baby, but things are scarcely better now they are living in Noni's mum's spare bedroom. After six months of searching, they have called on Kirstie for help.

Sophie exudes good cheer and sympathy but refuses to take a test to determine whether she could be a potential kidney donor. Meanwhile, Gaby has problems of her own as she becomes obsessed with her biological daughter Grace. Lynette learns about Tom's past with Renee and is smitten by a sudden desire to exact revenge.

      George meets Clive Bolton and his wife Jane, who dream of retiring and making their new home in a Grade II listed windmill in Anglesey. But can such a building be transformed into a home fit for modern living? Derelict since the 1920s, the mill is situated on an island with picturesque views but fierce winds. George discovers its rich history and helps tackle the many design constraints of this beautiful structure. However, the build grinds to a halt as personal tragedy strikes the family.

      The cookery-based reality series returns with a brand new episode, this time from east London.

      Battling out for the £1000 prize and the title of ultimate culinary host, are Italian gym instructor Salvo Riggi, fashion-mad PA Brenda Gobine, lady of leisure Zed Kiazim and fancy dress-loving Amanda Hull. Throughout the week, the foursome are treated to an aphrodisiac menu, a seven-foot tall butler and an explosive falling out. First to host is dog-lover Zed, whose night takes a nose dive when Salvo comments on Amanda's appearance.

      Former Doctor Who actors David Tennant and Sophie Aldred provide the voices of the lead characters in this colourful new children's fantasy series.

      Aldred - who played companion Ace in the 1980s - is the voice of Tom, a young boy with magical powers who uses his Tree Fu spells to be transported into the wondrous kingdom of Treetopolis. There he meets mischievous Twigs (voiced by Tennant), an energetic Acorn Sprite who soon becomes his loyal sidekick. Together they become embroiled in a series of adventures designed to nurture children's motive development.

      Mirthmaster Rob Brydon returns, along with team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack, for the fourth series of the panel show based on truth and lies.

      A stellar cast of celebrity guests' lying skills are put to the test as they reveal amazing stories about themselves; some will be true, others less so. The winning team will be the one who manages to fool the opposition into mistaking fact for fiction, and fiction for fact. Joining David Mitchell are TV presenter Fern Britton and the dashing Richard E Grant, while Lee Mack is ably assisted by Sanjeev Bhaskar and Martin Clunes.

      The perennially popular architectural show continues, as Kevin McCloud and his collection of fleeces visit another seemingly doomed building project.

      Londoners Claire and Ian dream of a city home large enough to house their two children, a sauna, a spa... and their very own discotheque! Unfortunately, their miniscule plot of land is hemmed in by rail tracks, trees and neighbouring homes. Optimistic Ian hopes they can treble their space by installing a basement, but when local residents complain, an ancient river emerges under the ground and a digger smashes through a neighbour's wall, his sunny disposition is put to the test.

      Botanist Liv Nash accidentally digs up the body of English Professor Murray Hawes, causing the Oxford-based sleuth to return for a new series.

      It soon transpires that Murray was obsessed with solving the riddle of Lewis Carroll's poem The Hunting of the Snark, although whether this had anything to do with his death is unclear. Lewis and Hathaway's investigation is hampered by interference, not only from self-styled amateur detective Michelle Marber but also from students Vincent and Mia, who are hoping to gain admission to the exclusive and mysterious Wednesday Club.

      Award-winning performer and songwriter Barry Manilow takes to the stage for the latest in ITV1's An Audience With... series.

      Barry Manilow is a true legend of the music business and in this one-off show he will be demonstrating just why, as he performs some of his classic hits and answers questions about his life and career. A star-studded audience will get the chance to grill Manilow about his four decades in the business. He is a popular performer with millions of fans who regularly sells out concerts around the globe, and will no doubt have some fascinating stories to tell.

      Anna Richardson presents this new series designed to help people who are incapable of understanding why they are piling on the pounds.

      The series examines the differences between how much people think they eat and how much they actually consume, using round-the clock surveillance to monitor the subjects' calorific consumption. The first episode features siblings Jill Hamill and Stuart Raphel from the Wirral. Once they are confronted with the shocking truth of how much they are really eating, they are invited to participate in a ten-week healthy eating regime designed by an expert dietician.

      As the access-all-areas documentary series returns to King's College Hospital, two cyclists are seriously injured during the morning rush hour.

      IT analyst Christopher hit a log on his way to work, and staff are concerned when scans reveal a bleed on his brain. Brighton cyclist Sarah swerved to avoid a pedestrian while riding downhill without a helmet, and she now needs to be airlifted to King's by helicopter. Also arriving by air is father-of-four Kevin, who fell from scaffolding as he repaired a roof, and 80-year-old former docker Bill has hurt his knee while drinking at his local working men's club.

    • Don't Blame the Dog

      Two dog owners struggling to take care of their pets travel to Alaska to spend a week working with dogs that race sleds for a living.

      Hairdresser Amy lacks confidence when it comes to controlling her basset hound, and student dropout Tyler refuses to take responsibility for walking, feeding and cleaning up after his dog. As they train to enter a real sled race across the frozen Yukon, they have to look after more than 80 dogs, making sure they are fed and kept clean. Will the challenge of working with highly-trained dogs in such an extreme environment help them re-evaluate their own lives and become better pet owners?

      From acclaimed metalworkers including Jean Tijouj, Robert Blackwell and John Tresilian, to the mass marketers of the Victorian age such as the Saracen Foundry, this film looks at the true experts of the field. These blacksmiths created beautiful ornate items in wrought and cast iron that both served and embellished society. With the help of the Victoria and Albert museum, the finest works of these skilled blacksmiths are drawn from all corners of the UK.

      Felicity launched her acting career in India and spent her childhood crossing the sub-continent with her parents' theatre company. Returning to the land which she still considers home, she journeys through India's sprawling cities as well as the rural heartland, discovering how Shakespeare has been an influence on Indian life and culture for over 250 years. She visits theatres and cafes, schools and prisons, to understand how Shakespeare has permeated Indian life in a surprising variety of ways.

      Holder's behaviour spins out of control and Linden searches for Rosie's backpack in the latest episode of the drama series about a single murder case.

      Holder, still being shut out by Linden and feeling betrayed by Sloane, falls back on old habits. Linden finds out about Rosie's backpack from a frustrated Stan and retrieves it from Lieutenant Oakes. Its contents quickly lead her to question Holder's involvement in the cover-up, and she attempts to get in touch with him. Janek begins to lure Stan back into the fold, while Mitch tries to forget her past. Meanwhile, Richmond and his staff struggle to deal with the reality of his medical condition.

      Documentary exploring the emotional experiences of two families when the man of the house decides to undergo gender reassignment surgery.

      Michelle and Jane have both been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Michelle, formerly Michael, had wanted to be a girl since she was six years old. She met her partner Julie when they were both teenagers. They have been married for 26 years and have two sons. Jane, who used to be John, is a 53-year-old journalist and consultant. She began living as a woman more than two years ago, and after completing all the necessary assessments is now ready for gender reassignment surgery.

    • The Town Taking on China

      This programme follows Kirkby cushion-maker Tony Caldeira as he tries to establish a manufacturing business to compete in a Chinese-dominated market.

      Until recently, manufacturing and labour costs in China were so cheap that British businesses were unable to compete. Like many entrepreneurs, Tony outsourced his production to China, but soaring wages over there have reversed the trend, and he is now embarking on an ambitious attempt to bring jobs back to Britain. His challenge starts down at the local Jobcentre, where he needs to recruit and train a workforce.

      Vernon Kay presents the last episode of the celebrity game show in which two stars and their families compete to win big money for charity.

      Each week, two teams of five go up against each other as they try to work out how the public have answered a series of questions. This week's final episode is a Coronation Street special which sees two actors from the soap and their nearest and dearest go head to head. Bill Tarmey - aka Jack Duckworth - competes against Samia Ghadie, who plays Maria Connor. Who will make it through to Big Money and the chance to win up to £30,000 for the charity of their choice?

Also featured are a grandmother from the Isle of Wight, who demonstrates a modern take on the ancient Greek practice of swinging, and a potential solution to a messy problem commonly experienced by babies.
